Premier Energies Ignites FY27 with ₹3,011 Crore Solar Order Bonanza, Accelerating Green Revolution

Premier Energies Limited has started FY27 on a strong note by securing new orders worth ₹3,011 crore during the first quarter (April–June 2026). The latest order wins further strengthen the company’s position as one of India’s leading integrated solar manufacturers and reflect the growing demand for domestically manufactured solar cells and modules.

The orders cover the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and solar modules, with deliveries scheduled across FY27 and FY28.

Major Order Wins in Q1 FY27

According to the company, the newly secured orders have been received from a diverse customer base that includes:

  • Power generation companies
  • Module manufacturers
  • Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies
  • Other customers in the renewable energy sector

The broad customer mix highlights Premier Energies’ strong presence across multiple segments of India’s fast-growing solar industry.

Orders Cover 1,846 MW of Solar Capacity

The ₹3,011 crore order book includes the supply of 1,846 MW of solar cells and modules, providing the company with strong revenue visibility over the next two financial years.

As India continues to accelerate renewable energy deployment, demand for high-efficiency solar products remains robust, creating significant opportunities for domestic manufacturers.

Expanding Manufacturing Capacity

Premier Energies has been aggressively expanding its manufacturing capabilities to meet rising demand.

The company recently increased its solar module manufacturing capacity from 5.5 GW to 11.1 GW, effectively doubling its production capability.

In addition, its solar cell manufacturing capacity is expected to increase from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW by September 2026, significantly enhancing its integrated manufacturing operations.

Benefiting from India’s Renewable Energy Push

The expansion comes at a time when the Government of India continues to encourage domestic solar manufacturing through initiatives such as the Make in India program and the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework.

These policy initiatives are aimed at reducing dependence on imported solar equipment while strengthening India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the latest order wins, Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, said the new orders reflect the company’s continued investments in technology, manufacturing scale, and product quality.

He added that Premier Energies remains focused on delivering reliable, high-efficiency solar solutions while contributing to India’s clean energy transition and self-reliance objectives.
