RailTel Secures ₹164.79 Crore Work Order from Western Coalfields
RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a significant work order worth ₹164.79 crore, including taxes, from Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). The company disclosed the development in an exchange filing dated August 20, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
₹164.79 Crore MPLS VPN Network Order
The order involves the establishment of an MPLS VPN network for Western Coalfields on a rental basis. The network will support WCL’s communication and connectivity requirements, with the contract awarded by the domestic entity.
According to the work order, the total contract value stands at ₹164.78 crore including taxes. The work order was received by RailTel on August 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
Five-Year Contract
The project has a contractual period of 60 months, with the execution period extending up to September 20, 2031. The long-duration contract provides RailTel with multi-year revenue visibility from the project.
