Trom Industries Limited: Powering Up with a Major Solar Win

Trom Industries Limited (TROM) recently made a significant announcement to the Exchange, revealing a substantial order win that underscores its growing prowess in India’s renewable energy sector. This development is set to boost the company’s order book and reinforce its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

The company has successfully bagged a prestigious contract from M/s. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited. Valued at an impressive INR 584,700,000 (approximately 58.47 Crores), this domestic order involves the crucial task of establishing a cumulative capacity of 15MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar project. Specifically, the project entails setting up individual plants, each with a capacity of 1.1 KW, for an extensive network of 13,290 consumers within the Bhagalpur circle of South Bihar.

This ambitious initiative falls under the CAPEX plus RESCO Mode Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model of the visionary PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY). The project’s scope highlights Trom Industries’ capability to execute large-scale, distributed solar projects, aligning perfectly with the government’s push for widespread solar adoption and energy independence. The supply and installation are slated for completion within an aggressive timeframe of nine months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

For Trom Industries, this contract is more than just a financial win; it’s a strategic move that solidifies its position as a key player in the burgeoning Indian solar market. It demonstrates the company’s technical expertise and operational efficiency in securing and executing significant renewable energy projects. Investors will likely view this as a positive indicator of the company’s growth trajectory and its ability to capitalize on the country’s clean energy transition. This win not only adds to Trom’s revenue pipeline but also contributes meaningfully to India’s ambitious renewable energy targets, promising a brighter, greener future.
