Viviana Power Tech Wins ₹41.5 Crore DGVCL Order for Underground Cable Project in Gujarat

Viviana Power Tech Limited has secured a new infrastructure contract worth ₹41.50 crore from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), further strengthening its presence in India’s power distribution sector. The project supports Gujarat’s ongoing efforts to modernize electricity infrastructure by replacing overhead power lines with safer and more reliable underground cable networks.

The latest order adds to the company’s growing project portfolio and highlights its expertise in executing large-scale power infrastructure projects.

Project Details

According to the company’s announcement, the contract is valued at ₹41,50,36,976 and has been awarded by Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL).

The project is scheduled to be completed within 15 months from the date of the Letter of Award.

Under the contract, Viviana Power Tech will undertake:

  • Supply of 11KV underground power cables.
  • Laying and installation of underground cable networks.
  • Testing and commissioning of the electrical infrastructure.
  • Erection and dismantling of TCDP structures and utility poles across multiple DGVCL divisions.

Supporting Gujarat’s Power Infrastructure Modernization

The project forms part of DGVCL’s Overhead to Underground (OH to UG) Scheme, an initiative aimed at strengthening electricity distribution infrastructure across Gujarat.

Replacing overhead power lines with underground cable systems offers several long-term benefits, including:

  • Improved reliability of electricity supply.
  • Reduced power disruptions during storms and adverse weather.
  • Enhanced public safety by minimizing the risk of accidents involving overhead lines.
  • Better urban aesthetics through the removal of visible overhead wiring.

As power demand continues to grow, underground cabling is becoming an important component of modern electricity distribution networks.

Strengthening Viviana Power Tech’s Order Book

The new contract represents another important milestone for Viviana Power Tech as it continues to expand its presence in the power transmission and distribution sector.

The company has been actively participating in infrastructure projects that support India’s ongoing investment in upgrading electricity networks. Winning projects from state-owned utilities such as DGVCL reflects its technical capabilities and execution experience.

Growing Opportunities in India’s Power Sector

India continues to invest heavily in strengthening its electricity infrastructure through grid modernization, underground cabling, smart distribution systems, and renewable energy integration.

Projects like this contribute to improving power reliability while supporting the country’s broader infrastructure development goals.
