Redington Delivers Record Q1 FY27 Results: Revenue Surges 34%, Profit Jumps 77% as AI, Cloud and India Business Power Growth

Redington Limited has kicked off FY27 with one of its strongest quarterly performances in recent years, reporting robust revenue growth, record profitability, and strong momentum across India, cloud computing, AI infrastructure, and enterprise technology solutions.

During the Q1 FY27 earnings conference call, the company’s management highlighted that despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, component shortages, and global supply chain disruptions, Redington delivered record financial performance while improving operational efficiency and expanding its presence in high-growth technology segments.

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

Redington reported an exceptional first quarter with growth across all key financial metrics.

Particulars Q1 FY27 YoY Growth
Revenue ₹34,966 Crore 34%
EBITDA ₹751 Crore 67%
Profit After Tax (PAT) ₹486 Crore 77%
Working Capital Days 32 Days Improved from 37
ROCE 22% Strong

Excluding its Turkish associate Arena, Redington generated:

  • Revenue of ₹33,794 crore
  • Profit of ₹517 crore, the highest in company history.

Management said the significant improvement in profitability reflects both strong revenue momentum and better operating leverage.

India Emerges as the Biggest Growth Driver

India was the standout performer during the quarter.

The Indian business recorded:

  • 63% revenue growth
  • 60% PAT growth

Growth came from almost every business vertical, including:

  • Mobility
  • Endpoint Solutions
  • Technology Solutions
  • Software Solutions

Management also highlighted strong demand from:

  • AI infrastructure deployments
  • Data centre projects
  • Neo-cloud operators
  • Professional services
  • Regional retail channels
  • Quick commerce partnerships

AI and Data Centre Investments Fuel Technology Solutions

One of the biggest growth drivers was the Technology Solutions Group (TSG), which grew 50% YoY.

The company secured nearly ₹1,000 crore worth of large enterprise deals during the quarter, with most originating from India’s rapidly expanding data centre market.

According to management:

  • Around ₹700 crore of these projects came from India.
  • The pipeline for future data centre projects remains several times larger than the deals executed in Q1.
  • AI infrastructure demand is expected to remain strong over the coming quarters.

The company believes India’s emergence as a regional data centre hub, supported by government incentives and increasing cloud investments, will continue creating significant opportunities.

Software Solutions Becomes the Fastest Growing Business

The Software Solutions Group (SSG) delivered the highest growth among all business segments.

Q1 FY27 Performance

  • Revenue Growth: 52%
  • Contribution to Revenue: 17%

Growth was driven by:

  • Cloud services
  • Infrastructure software
  • Professional services
  • AI-enabled enterprise solutions

Professional services nearly doubled during the quarter as enterprises accelerated cloud migration, AI deployment, cybersecurity implementation and managed services.

Microsoft Recognises Redington as Frontier Partner

A major milestone during the quarter was Microsoft’s recognition of Redington as a Frontier Partner, a designation reserved for select global partners with advanced AI capabilities.

Management said this recognition validates Redington’s growing capabilities in:

  • AI deployment
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Enterprise digital transformation
  • AI solution implementation

AI Marketplace and New Digital Platforms Launched

The company also introduced several new technology platforms during Q1, including:

  • AI Exchange marketplace featuring over 250 AI agents
  • Reonics subscription renewal automation platform
  • TrackMyCloud cloud optimisation platform
  • Enhanced CloudQuarks digital platform

These platforms are expected to strengthen Redington’s software ecosystem and improve customer experience while creating new revenue opportunities.

Premium Smartphone Demand Boosts Mobility Business

The Mobility business recorded 21% growth during the quarter.

Growth was primarily driven by:

  • Premium smartphone demand
  • Direct retail expansion in India
  • New market expansion in the Middle East

Management noted that premium smartphones continue to outperform the broader market, although rising device prices could eventually moderate consumer demand.

Endpoint Solutions Benefits from Higher PC Prices

Endpoint Solutions recorded 35% YoY growth.

The business benefited from:

  • Global component shortages
  • Higher PC selling prices
  • Rising commercial adoption of AI PCs

Interestingly:

  • 36% of commercial PC revenue in India now comes from AI-enabled PCs with more than 40 TOPS processing capability.

Management expects AI PC adoption to continue rising over the coming quarters.

Middle East Business Shows Strong Resilience

Despite geopolitical tensions across West Asia, Redington’s Middle East and Africa operations remained resilient.

The region recorded 15% growth, supported by:

  • GCC markets
  • Levant region
  • Africa

While UAE and Saudi Arabia witnessed modest declines because of regional uncertainties, stronger growth across other markets helped offset the impact.

The company also managed to maintain supply chain continuity despite shipping delays and increased logistics costs.

Working Capital Improves Despite Rapid Growth

One of the notable achievements during Q1 was improved capital efficiency.

Working capital days reduced from:

  • 37 days to 32 days

Management credited:

  • Better inventory discipline
  • Improved vendor credit
  • Strong operational execution

The company maintained a healthy 22% Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) despite rapid business expansion.

Arena Business Still Faces Challenges

Redington’s Turkish associate Arena continued to remain under pressure.

Challenges include:

  • Lower IT hardware margins
  • High inflation
  • Competitive pricing
  • Reduced revenue after exiting mobility operations

Management indicated that restructuring efforts are underway, although profitability recovery may take time.

Outlook: AI, Cloud and Data Centres Expected to Drive Future Growth

Management remains optimistic about the remainder of FY27.

Key growth drivers include:

  • Expanding AI infrastructure investments
  • Data centre deployment across India
  • Cloud adoption
  • Software solutions
  • Professional services
  • Enterprise digital transformation

The company expects its diversified business model, technology platforms, and growing AI capabilities to support long-term sustainable growth despite macroeconomic uncertainties.
