Adani Green Energy Surpasses 20 GW Capacity; Q1 FY27 Energy Sales Jump 30%
Adani Green Energy Limited (NSE: ADANIGREEN) has released the transcript of its Q1 FY27 earnings conference call, announcing a major milestone by surpassing 20 GW of operational renewable energy capacity. The achievement reinforces the company’s leadership as India’s largest renewable energy producer and reflects its rapid execution of utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid power projects.
During the quarter ended June 30, 2026, energy sales increased 30% year-on-year to 13.7 billion units, driven by capacity additions and improved plant performance. The company also continued to expand its investments in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Pumped Hydro Storage, positioning itself to meet the growing demand for round-the-clock renewable power and firm, dispatchable green energy.
Management highlighted that the operational portfolio can supply clean electricity to more than 9 million households while helping avoid approximately 37 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. Looking ahead, Adani Green Energy expects increasing demand from utilities, industries, AI-powered data centers, and other energy-intensive sectors to support long-term growth.
