Bajaj Finance Limited has delivered another strong quarterly performance, reporting a 28% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY27. The company’s continued focus on customer acquisition, loan growth, and disciplined risk management helped drive robust earnings despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.

The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹6,081 crore, while Assets Under Management (AUM) increased to ₹5,46,944 crore as of June 30, 2026. The Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial results at its meeting held on July 30, 2026.

AUM Crosses ₹5.46 Lakh Crore

Bajaj Finance continued its strong growth momentum during the quarter, with Assets Under Management (AUM) increasing 24% YoY to ₹5,46,944 crore. The company added nearly ₹36,969 crore to its AUM during the quarter, supported by healthy demand across consumer, personal, mortgage, and commercial lending segments.

Customer Base Continues to Expand

The lender booked 16.13 million new loans during Q1 FY27, a 20% increase from the same period last year.

Its customer franchise expanded to 124.43 million, adding 5.10 million new customers during the quarter, highlighting continued demand across retail lending products.

Net Interest Income Rises 23%

The company’s Net Interest Income (NII) increased to ₹12,571 crore, up 23% YoY, while Net Total Income grew 22% to ₹15,224 crore.

Pre-provisioning operating profit also rose 22% to ₹10,137 crore, reflecting strong operating performance.

Asset Quality Improves Further

Bajaj Finance maintained strong asset quality during the quarter.

  • Gross NPA: 0.96%
  • Net NPA: 0.39%

Both ratios improved compared with the previous year, demonstrating effective credit underwriting and collections. The company maintained a 60% provisioning coverage ratio on Stage 3 assets.

Growth remained broad-based across lending categories.

Subsidiaries Continue to Perform Well

Bajaj Housing Finance

Bajaj Housing Finance also reported a strong quarter.

  • AUM increased 24% to ₹1,49,624 crore.
  • Profit after tax rose 23% to ₹715 crore.
  • Gross NPA remained low at 0.29%.

Bajaj Financial Securities

Bajaj Financial Securities added approximately 108,000 new customers during the quarter.

  • Assets under finance increased 60%.
  • Profit after tax rose 22% to ₹50 crore.
