Bank of Baroda Q1 Results: Business Crosses ₹30 Lakh Cr, WII Up 9.5%
Bank of Baroda (BoB) has released its investor presentation for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), reporting strong growth across its domestic and international operations. The public sector lender achieved a major milestone during the quarter as its total global business surpassed ₹30.50 lakh crore, supported by healthy growth in advances, deposits, and continued improvement in asset quality.

Bank of Baroda delivered robust business growth during Q1 FY27, driven by strong credit demand and sustained deposit mobilization.
- Total Global Business: Increased 15.4% year-on-year to ₹30,50,457 crore, compared with ₹26,42,690 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Global Advances: Rose 17.4% YoY to ₹14,16,898 crore.
- Global Deposits: Grew 13.8% YoY to ₹16,33,559 crore.
- Domestic Deposits: Increased 14.7% YoY to ₹13,81,535 crore.
- Organic Retail Advances: Expanded 18.4% YoY to ₹3,09,674 crore.
The strong growth in advances and deposits reflects the bank’s continued focus on expanding its lending portfolio while maintaining a stable funding base.
Financial Performance
The bank reported healthy growth in core operating income during the quarter.
- Net Interest Income (NII): Increased 9.5% YoY to ₹12,524 crore, compared with ₹11,435 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net Profit: Reported at ₹1,278 crore after accounting for exceptional items.
- Net Profit (Excluding Exceptional Items): Stood at ₹5,528 crore.
The underlying profitability remained strong, with the exceptional items impacting the reported bottom line.
Asset Quality Improves Further
Bank of Baroda continued to strengthen its balance sheet through sustained improvement in asset quality.
- Gross NPA Ratio: Improved to 1.99%, down 29 basis points from 2.28% a year earlier.
- Net NPA Ratio: Declined to 0.50%, compared with 0.60% in the corresponding quarter last year.
The continued reduction in non-performing assets reflects the bank’s disciplined credit management and recovery efforts.
Healthy Margins and Capital Position
The bank maintained stable profitability and a strong capital base during the quarter.

- Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR): 16.30% under Basel III norms
- Book Value Per Share (BVPS): ₹256.2, or ₹264.5 excluding exceptional items
