BHEL Reports ₹7,698 Crore Revenue, ₹513 Crore PBT in Q1 FY27

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced its unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), reporting revenue from operations of ₹7,697.72 crore and Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹512.90 crore.

The results were approved by the company’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on July 16, 2026, marking the beginning of BHEL’s financial performance for FY27.

Q1 FY27 Standalone Financial Highlights

Particulars Q1 FY27
Revenue from Operations ₹7,697.72 crore
Other Income ₹230.80 crore
Total Income ₹7,928.52 crore
Profit Before Tax (PBT) ₹512.90 crore
Total Expenses ₹7,415.62 crore

The company’s financial results were reviewed by its statutory auditors, who also issued their Limited Review Report in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Sequential Performance

Compared with the quarter ended March 31, 2026 (Q4 FY26), BHEL’s revenue and profitability moderated during the first quarter.

  • Revenue from operations: ₹7,697.72 crore, compared with ₹12,310.37 crore in Q4 FY26.
  • Profit Before Tax: ₹512.90 crore, compared with ₹1,719.80 crore in the previous quarter.

The sequential decline is consistent with the business cycle of engineering and capital goods companies, where the fourth quarter typically records higher project execution and revenue recognition.

Focus on Project Execution

As one of India’s leading engineering and manufacturing companies, BHEL plays a critical role in the power, infrastructure, defence, transportation, and industrial sectors.

The company’s quarterly performance is closely linked to project execution schedules, order inflows, and the pace of capital expenditure across key industries.
