Dodla Dairy Limited Q1 FY27 Results: Record Revenue at ₹1,197.9 Cr; PAT Drops 35% YoY
Dodla Dairy Limited has announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), delivering its highest-ever quarterly revenue driven by strong growth in milk procurement, milk sales, and value-added products. Despite the robust top-line performance, elevated raw milk procurement costs and higher operating expenses impacted profitability during the quarter.
Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights
Dodla Dairy reported strong revenue growth, although margins came under pressure due to rising input costs.
Key Financial Highlights:
- Revenue from Operations: ₹1,197.9 crore, up 19.0% YoY from ₹1,006.9 crore.
- EBITDA: ₹64.9 crore, down 21.3% YoY from ₹82.5 crore.
- EBITDA Margin: 5.4%, compared with 8.2% in Q1 FY26.
- Net Profit (PAT): ₹40.6 crore, declining 35.4% YoY from ₹62.9 crore.
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹6.7 versus ₹10.4 in the corresponding quarter last year.
Strong Volume Growth Across Core Business
Dodla Dairy continued to expand its procurement network and customer base during the quarter.
Operational Highlights:
- Milk Procurement Volume: Reached a record 21.1 lakh litres per day (LLPD), increasing 13.0% YoY.
- Milk Sales Volume: Rose 14.5% YoY to 13.6 LLPD.
- Value-Added Products (VAP) Revenue: ₹414.7 crore, contributing 34.6% of total revenue.
- Curd Sales Volume: Increased 41.4% YoY to 642.6 metric tonnes per day (MTPD), highlighting strong consumer demand for higher-margin dairy products.
Higher Input Costs Impact Profitability
The company’s profitability was affected by a sharp rise in raw material and operating costs during the quarter.
Key cost pressures included:
- Raw milk procurement cost increased 10.4% YoY to ₹41.3 per litre, while average milk realization rose only 3.9% YoY to ₹59.4 per litre.
- Packaging material costs surged 48% YoY.
- Employee expenses increased following revised labor law norms and wage adjustments.
- Transportation and logistics costs also remained elevated.
These factors led to a contraction in gross margins and overall operating profitability despite healthy revenue growth.
Africa Business Delivers Strong Performance
Dodla Dairy’s international operations continued to perform well during the quarter.
The company’s Africa business recorded:
- Revenue Growth: 45.6% YoY
- EBITDA: A record ₹24.2 crore, reflecting improved scale and operational efficiency.
The strong overseas performance provided additional support to the company’s diversified business model.
Strategic Investment in Sid’s Farm
As part of its premium dairy growth strategy, the Board of Directors approved a primary equity investment of ₹11.6 crore in Sid’s Farm Private Limited, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) premium dairy brand.
The investment will provide Dodla Dairy with a 2% equity stake in Sid’s Farm at a pre-money valuation of ₹500 crore, strengthening its presence in the premium and branded dairy segment while expanding its value-added product portfolio.
