Published: August 3, 2026
GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited (GSK India) has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting strong double-digit growth in both revenue and profitability. Alongside its financial performance, the company’s Board approved significant management changes, including the appointment of a new Non-Executive Director and the re-appointment of its Managing Director.
The quarter reflects GSK India’s continued momentum in the pharmaceutical business, supported by higher sales and improved operational performance.
Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights
GSK India delivered a healthy financial performance during the first quarter of FY27.
Standalone Performance
- Revenue from Operations: ₹924.42 crore, compared with ₹804.83 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a growth of nearly 14.9%.
- Total Income: ₹986.05 crore versus ₹848.59 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
- Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹337.98 crore, up from ₹278.57 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net Profit (PAT): ₹253.33 crore, compared with ₹204.70 crore in the year-ago quarter, reflecting growth of approximately 23.8%.
- Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹14.95 for the quarter.
Strong Profitability Driven by Operational Performance
The company maintained healthy profitability during the quarter despite higher employee and operating expenses.
Total expenses increased primarily due to higher employee benefit costs and other operating expenses. However, strong revenue growth enabled the company to expand earnings, resulting in higher profit before tax and net profit compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Other Income Supports Overall Earnings
Other income for the quarter included a dividend of ₹18 crore received from Biddle Sawyer Limited, GSK India’s wholly owned subsidiary. This contributed to the company’s total income during the quarter.
