Laurus Labs Reports Record Q1 FY27 Performance; Revenue Rises 29%, CDMO Business Drives Growth

Laurus Labs Limited has released the transcript of its Q1 FY27 earnings conference call, highlighting record financial and operational performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue and EBITDA, driven by strong growth in its Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) business and steady demand for its affordable medicines portfolio.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 29% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,026 crore, while operating profitability improved significantly due to a better product mix and higher operating leverage.

Key Financial Highlights (Q1 FY27)

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹2,026 crore, up 29% YoY
  • Gross Margin: 62.7%
  • EBITDA Margin: 31.8%, up 700 basis points sequentially
  • Small Molecule CDMO Revenue: ₹835 crore, up 69% YoY

CDMO Business Continues Strong Momentum

The Small Molecule CDMO business remained the key growth driver during the quarter.

Revenue from the segment increased 69% year-on-year to ₹835 crore, supported by strong execution of late-stage clinical programs and commercial manufacturing projects for global pharmaceutical customers.

Management said the business continues to benefit from increasing outsourcing by innovator pharmaceutical companies and a healthy pipeline of commercial opportunities.

Strategic Developments During the Quarter

Laurus Labs announced several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening its long-term growth prospects.

Partnership with Nuvectis Therapeutics

The company entered into a development and commercial agreement with Nuvectis Therapeutics for two clinical-stage Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) molecules for the Indian market, expanding its presence in high-value oncology therapies.

New Global Pharmaceutical Client

Laurus Labs also onboarded a major global pharmaceutical company as a new CDMO customer. Management expects the partnership to create significant multi-year growth opportunities as development programs progress toward commercialization.

Capacity Expansion Plans

The company is in the final stages of acquiring more than 500 acres of land from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to support future manufacturing expansion and meet the growing demand across its businesses.
