PNC Infratech Limited has reported a strong operating performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated revenue from operations rising sharply year-on-year. The company’s results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 were approved by the Board on August 8, 2026.

The company benefited from growth across its road, water and toll/annuity businesses. However, investors should also note that the quarter’s revenue included a significant one-time settlement related to the Agra Bypass EPC project under the Vivad Se Vishwas III scheme.

PNC Infratech Q1 FY27 Results at a Glance

Particulars Q1 FY27 Q1 FY26 YoY Change

Total Income ₹1,759.52 crore ₹1,453.64 crore +21.0%

Profit After Tax ₹331.93 crore ₹431.32 crore -23.1%
EPS ₹12.94 ₹16.81

*Before exceptional items.

The financial statements are reported in ₹ lakh, with the consolidated statement showing revenue from operations of ₹1,688.46 crore and total income of ₹1,759.52 crore for Q1 FY27.

Great improvement in operating profit

One of the biggest positives in the quarter was the sharp improvement in profit before tax before exceptional items.

PNC Infratech reported ₹431.55 crore of profit before exceptional items and tax, compared with ₹180.15 crore in Q1 FY26. This represents growth of nearly 140% year-on-year.

The improvement reflects stronger contribution from the company’s core infrastructure segments and better operating performance.

However, the reported consolidated PAT fell to ₹331.93 crore from ₹431.32 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. This decline needs to be viewed in context because Q1 FY26 included a large exceptional gain. The previous year’s profit before tax included an exceptional item of around ₹321.70 crore, which significantly lifted the reported profit in that period.

As a result, comparing reported PAT alone can give a misleading picture of the company’s underlying operating performance.

Road Business Remains the Main Growth Engine

PNC Infratech continues to generate the bulk of its revenue from its road business.

For Q1 FY27, segment revenue was:

Segment Q1 FY27 Revenue
Road ₹1,382.01 crore
Water ₹136.63 crore
Toll/Annuity ₹169.82 crore
Total ₹1,688.46 crore

The road segment remained the dominant contributor, accounting for more than 80% of consolidated operating revenue.

Road segment revenue increased from approximately ₹1,083.20 crore in Q1 FY26 to ₹1,382.01 crore in Q1 FY27. The water business also expanded, while the toll/annuity segment contributed a substantial ₹169.82 crore.

Toll and Annuity Business Delivers Strong Segment Profit

The segment profitability picture was particularly interesting.

During Q1 FY27:

  • Road segment result: ₹323.82 crore
  • Water segment result: ₹19.05 crore
  • Toll/Annuity segment result: ₹141.21 crore
  • Total segment result: ₹484.08 crore

After accounting for unallocable expenditure and other income, profit before tax and non-controlling interests stood at ₹431.55 crore.

The toll/annuity business therefore continues to provide a meaningful contribution to profitability despite having a smaller revenue base than the road EPC business.

₹217.66 Crore Agra Bypass Settlement Boosts Q1 Revenue

An important factor investors should keep in mind is the inclusion of ₹217.66 crore in contract revenue during the quarter.

According to the company’s notes, the amount arose from the settlement agreement entered into under the Vivad Se Vishwas III scheme relating to the Agra Bypass EPC project. The company specifically disclosed that the previous-year quarter had no such income.

This means part of the strong revenue growth in Q1 FY27 came from a settlement-related item rather than purely from recurring construction activity.

Therefore, while the overall quarterly numbers are strong, investors may want to distinguish between core execution growth and one-time/settlement-related revenue when assessing future earnings.

Standalone Performance Was Also Strong

PNC Infratech’s standalone numbers showed an even stronger improvement.

Standalone revenue from operations increased to approximately ₹1,518.21 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹1,136.46 crore in Q1 FY26.

Standalone profit after tax rose to approximately ₹270.62 crore, compared with ₹82.77 crore in the year-ago quarter. Standalone EPS also increased to ₹10.55 from ₹3.15.

The standalone financial statement shows a substantial year-on-year improvement in revenue, profit and earnings per share.

Expanding Infrastructure Portfolio

PNC Infratech’s consolidated group includes a large portfolio of subsidiaries and project companies covering highways, expressways and other infrastructure assets.

The company reported 22 subsidiaries, including step-down subsidiaries in the consolidated financial statements. The group also has joint operations through PNC-SPSCPL and PNC-SPML joint ventures.

During the quarter, two wholly owned subsidiaries — Mustafabad Biswariya Highway Private Limited and Barabanki Mustafabad Highway Private Limited — were incorporated in June 2026.

This indicates that PNC Infratech continues to build out its project-company structure as it expands its infrastructure portfolio.

Management and Board Updates

Along with the financial results, PNC Infratech announced several corporate governance changes.

The Board approved the proposed reappointment of:

  • Pradeep Kumar Jain as Managing Director
  • Chakresh Kumar Jain as Managing Director
  • Yogesh Jain as Managing Director
  • Anil Kumar Rao as Whole-Time Director

The appointments are proposed for another five-year term, subject to shareholder approval.

The company also proposed the reappointment of Naresh Kumar Jain and Seema Singh as Independent Directors and approved the appointment of Rohit Kumar Singh as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director.

Statutory Auditor Reappointed

The Board also approved the reappointment of NSBP & Co., Chartered Accountants, as statutory auditors for another two-year term, subject to shareholder approval.

The proposed tenure will run from the conclusion of the 27th Annual General Meeting until the conclusion of the 29th AGM.

AGM Scheduled for September 30, 2026

PNC Infratech has scheduled its 27th Annual General Meeting for September 30, 2026. The Board also approved the related notice, e-voting arrangements, and other AGM-related matters.

What Does Q1 FY27 Mean for PNC Infratech Investors?

PNC Infratech’s Q1 FY27 numbers present a mixed but largely positive picture.

The strongest takeaway is the sharp improvement in underlying operating profitability. Revenue from operations grew nearly 19%, while profit before tax before exceptional items jumped nearly 140%.

The road segment remains the company’s biggest business, while toll/annuity assets are making a significant contribution to profitability. The water business is also growing and adds diversification to the company’s infrastructure portfolio.

At the same time, investors should not ignore the impact of the ₹217.66 crore Agra Bypass settlement on quarterly revenue and the unusually high exceptional gain recorded in the previous-year quarter.

Therefore, the better way to evaluate PNC Infratech’s Q1 FY27 performance is to focus on core execution, segment profitability, project additions and the future earnings potential of its road and toll/annuity portfolio, rather than looking only at year-on-year reported PAT.

PNC Infratech started FY27 with strong operating momentum. Consolidated revenue rose to ₹1,688.46 crore, while profit before tax before exceptional items surged to ₹431.55 crore. The road business remained the key revenue driver, and toll/annuity operations delivered a strong profitability contribution.

The key watchpoints for the coming quarters will be the sustainability of core EPC execution, the contribution from newly added projects, cash flows, and how much of the earnings growth can be maintained without the support of one-off settlements.
