Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Reports Q1 FY27 Results; Continues Focus on Brand Investment Amid Cost Pressures

Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The FMCG company reported a decline in revenue and profitability during the quarter, primarily due to volatile commodity prices and global geopolitical uncertainties that impacted input costs.

Despite the challenging operating environment, the company continued to invest in its brands, innovation, and consumer engagement to support long-term growth.

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the company reported:

  • Sales Revenue: ₹901 crore, down 5% year-on-year.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹126 crore.

The decline in profitability was largely attributed to higher commodity costs and inflationary pressures stemming from global geopolitical developments.

Continued Investment in Brands and Innovation

During the quarter, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care increased its investments in advertising and promotional (A&P) activities while maintaining a strong focus on product innovation.

The company continued to support its portfolio of leading consumer brands, including:

  • Whisper – Feminine hygiene products
  • Vicks – Healthcare and wellness products
  • Old Spice – Men’s grooming products

These investments are aimed at strengthening brand equity, driving consumer preference, and supporting long-term market share growth.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the quarterly performance, Kumar Venkatasubramanian, Managing Director of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited, said the company remains committed to executing its Integrated Growth Strategy despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.

He noted that continued investments in product innovation, superior brand performance, constructive disruption, and productivity initiatives will help the company strengthen its competitive position and deliver sustainable long-term growth.
