RateGain Fuels Philippine Airlines’ Profitability Drive with AI-Powered Pricing

RateGain Travel Technologies Limited has announced a new partnership with Philippine Airlines (PAL), under which the airline will implement AirGain, RateGain’s AI-powered pricing intelligence platform. The collaboration is aimed at helping Philippine Airlines improve fare monitoring, optimize pricing decisions, and respond more quickly to changing market conditions.

The partnership further strengthens RateGain’s presence in the global aviation technology sector as airlines increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and real-time analytics to enhance revenue management.

AI-Powered Pricing Intelligence

AirGain is designed to provide airlines with real-time visibility into competitor pricing across hundreds of airlines, online travel agencies (OTAs), and metasearch platforms.

By analyzing market pricing data, the platform enables airline revenue management teams to identify fare changes, monitor competitive trends, and make informed pricing decisions across domestic and international routes.

One of the platform’s key capabilities is AI Digest, which automatically delivers route-level pricing insights, helping airlines quickly identify pricing opportunities and respond to market changes.

Helping Philippine Airlines Improve Revenue Management

With the implementation of AirGain, Philippine Airlines aims to strengthen its pricing strategy across its global network.

The airline operates both domestic and international routes, including long-haul services connecting Asia with North America and other international destinations. Access to real-time competitive intelligence is expected to support more efficient pricing decisions while helping the airline remain competitive in a rapidly changing aviation market.

According to Christoph Gaertner, Vice President of Revenue Management at Philippine Airlines, the platform will provide greater visibility into market pricing, enabling the airline to make faster and more informed revenue management decisions.

Expanding RateGain’s Global Customer Base

The partnership adds another international airline to RateGain’s growing portfolio of aviation customers.

The company provides AI-powered software solutions to airlines, hotels, travel companies, and hospitality businesses worldwide, helping them optimize pricing, distribution, and customer engagement through data-driven insights.

As the travel industry continues its digital transformation, demand for advanced pricing and revenue management solutions is expected to grow.

Future Innovation with Smart Search

RateGain also announced that AirGain will soon introduce Smart Search, a new AI-powered feature designed to simplify pricing analysis.

The upcoming capability will allow revenue managers to use natural language queries to retrieve pricing insights and market intelligence, making it easier to analyze large volumes of competitive data and support faster business decisions.
