State-owned steel producer maintains healthy profitability amid stable domestic steel demand and strong operational performance

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) (NSE: SAIL | BSE: 500113) has released its investor presentation for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), reporting resilient financial and operational performance despite volatility in global steel markets and raw material prices.

The public sector steel maker generated revenue from operations of ₹26,246 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,636 crore, supported by steady domestic demand, healthy operating margins, and disciplined financial management.

SAIL delivered stable earnings during the quarter with a strong balance sheet and healthy profitability.
