Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited Q1 Profit Soars 205% to ₹6,597 Crore; Declares ₹8 Dividend

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited has reported a record financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), marking its first quarterly results as an independent listed entity. India’s largest aluminium producer delivered its highest-ever quarterly revenue, EBITDA, and net profit, supported by higher aluminium realizations, operational efficiencies, and cost leadership.

The Board of Directors also approved the company’s maiden interim dividend of ₹8 per equity share.

Key Financial Highlights (Q1 FY27)

  • Revenue: ₹21,105 crore, up 45% year-on-year (YoY) and 13% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), the company’s highest-ever quarterly revenue.
  • EBITDA: ₹10,499 crore, up 134% YoY and 24% QoQ.
  • EBITDA Margin: 50%, the highest in the company’s history.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹6,597 crore, up 205% YoY and 33% QoQ.
  • Interim Dividend: ₹8 per equity share.

Record Operational Performance

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited achieved several production milestones during the quarter:

  • Aluminium Production: 632 kilotonnes (KT), up 5% YoY and 3% QoQ, the highest quarterly aluminium production in the company’s history.
  • Value-Added Products (VAP): Production increased 14% YoY to 389 KT, reflecting strong demand for premium aluminium products.
  • Alumina Production: Rose 41% YoY to 826 KT, supported by capacity expansion at its refinery operations.

Balance Sheet Strengthens

The company further strengthened its balance sheet through continued deleveraging.

  • Net Debt-to-EBITDA Ratio: Improved to 0.9x, compared with 1.3x in the previous quarter.

Reflecting its stronger financial position, CRISIL and ICRA upgraded the company’s long-term credit rating to AA+ with a Stable outlook.

Management Outlook

Management said Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited remains well positioned to benefit from growing demand for aluminium across sectors such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, automotive, packaging, and infrastructure.

The company expects its focus on operational excellence, cost leadership, and expansion of value-added products to support sustained growth and profitability in the coming quarters.
