Indo National Acquires 31.82% Stake in Aidin Technologies for ₹35 Crore, Enters Defense & Aerospace Electronics

Indo National Limited (NSE: NIPPOBATRY) has announced a strategic investment in Aidin Technologies Private Limited, marking its entry into the rapidly expanding defense, aerospace, and space electronics sector. The company has subscribed to Series A and Series A1 Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) of Aidin Technologies, acquiring a 31.82% equity stake for a total investment of approximately ₹34.99 crore.

The investment has been disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Founded in May 2008, Aidin Technologies specializes in radio frequency (RF) power electronics and develops advanced solutions for India’s defense and aerospace ecosystem.

Its product portfolio includes:

  • Anti-drone technologies
  • Radar power supply units
  • RF jammers
  • High-power amplifiers

The company primarily serves business-to-business (B2B) customers as well as government defense agencies (B2G).

Strategic Diversification for Indo National

Known for its Nippo battery brand and consumer lighting products, Indo National’s investment represents a significant strategic diversification into a technology-driven, high-growth sector.

The acquisition provides the company with exposure to India’s expanding defense manufacturing ecosystem, supported by increasing government spending, import substitution initiatives, and the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ programs.

By adding a presence in defense electronics, Indo National aims to build a new long-term growth engine alongside its established consumer products business, creating a more diversified revenue base and strengthening its future growth prospects.
