Birla Cable Limited, an MP Birla Group company engaged in the manufacturing of cables, announced its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company delivered a strong start to FY27 with robust revenue growth and a sharp increase in profitability, driven by higher operational performance.

The Board of Directors approved the quarterly financial results at its meeting held on August 2, 2026, along with the Limited Review Reports issued by the statutory auditors.

Birla Cable Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

Since the standalone and consolidated financial results are nearly identical, the consolidated figures provide a clear picture of the company’s quarterly performance.

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹266.64 crore
  • Q1 FY26 Revenue: ₹176.44 crore

Operating Performance Improves

The company maintained tight control over expenses despite higher raw material consumption.

Key highlights include:

  • Raw material cost increased in line with higher production.
  • Employee expenses remained stable.
  • Finance costs declined compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
  • Depreciation expenses also reduced year-on-year.

These factors contributed to a substantial improvement in operating profitability.

Comprehensive Income

Birla Cable reported:

  • Other Comprehensive Income: ₹40.70 crore
  • Total Comprehensive Income: ₹71.40 crore

The increase was largely supported by gains recorded under items recognized in Other Comprehensive Income (OCI).

Balance Sheet Remains Healthy

The company continues to maintain a stable capital structure with:

  • Paid-up Equity Share Capital: ₹30 crore
  • Improved profitability supporting shareholder value creation.

Scheme of Amalgamation with Vindhya Telelinks

One of the key corporate developments remains the proposed merger between Birla Cable Limited and Vindhya Telelinks Limited.

The scheme, approved by the Board earlier, proposes the amalgamation of Birla Cable into Vindhya Telelinks with an appointed date of April 1, 2026, subject to regulatory and judicial approvals.

Under the proposed share exchange ratio:

  • Shareholders of Birla Cable will receive 10 equity shares of Vindhya Telelinks for every 115 Birla Cable shares held.

The transaction remains subject to approvals from stock exchanges, regulators, and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Business Segment

Birla Cable continues to operate in a single reportable business segment—Cables, making segment-wise financial disclosures unnecessary under applicable accounting standards.

Auditor’s Review

The statutory auditors, V. Sankar Aiyar & Co., issued an unmodified limited review report on both the standalone and consolidated financial statements, stating that nothing had come to their attention indicating any material misstatement in the quarterly results.
