Krsnaa Diagnostics Q1 FY27: Strong Retail Growth and Expansion of Diagnostic Network

About Krsnaa Diagnostics

Krsnaa Diagnostics Limited is one of India’s largest integrated diagnostic service providers, offering radiology, pathology and teleradiology services. The company focuses on providing quality diagnostics at affordable prices, with a strong presence in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Its network includes 191 CT/MRI centres, 212 pathology labs and more than 8,400 patient touch points across 19 states/UTs and 333 districts.

Brands and Business

The presentation does not identify a separate portfolio of consumer brands. Krsnaa operates its diagnostic services across radiology, pathology and teleradiology, while its retail business is being developed as an important growth platform. The company also operates under the RPL Krsnaa retail identity, focusing on affordability, accessibility and convenience.

Q1 FY27 Consolidated Earnings

Krsnaa Diagnostics reported Q1 FY27 revenue of ₹2,355 million (₹235.5 crore), up 22% from ₹1,930 million in Q1 FY26. EBITDA before CSR and ESOP increased 12% to ₹588 million, while EBITDA margin stood at 25%. PAT declined 19% to ₹166 million (₹16.6 crore), compared with ₹205 million in Q1 FY26. The company attributed margin moderation to upfront fixed costs related to Rajasthan laboratories, equipment, manpower and logistics being carried ahead of full utilisation.

The company performed 16.1 million tests and served 5.1 million patients during the quarter. NABH-accredited radiology centres increased to 66 from 31 a year earlier.

Retail Business Shows Strong Growth

The retail business recorded significant growth during Q1 FY27. Retail revenue increased 64% YoY, patient count rose 75%, and test volume increased 47%. Retail revenue contribution to group revenue increased from 1% in Q1 FY26 to 8% in Q1 FY27.

Future Growth Plan

Krsnaa Diagnostics is moving towards a more retail-led growth model by leveraging its existing diagnostic infrastructure. The company plans to expand its network to 290+ pathology labs and 200+ CT/MRI centres, while continuing to build its broader diagnostic platform.

The retail growth strategy includes expansion into 7–8 new states, development of 1,000+ retail centres, greater CT/MRI penetration, preventive health packages, home sample collection and digital customer acquisition.

Order Book and Network Expansion

Krsnaa’s presentation does not provide a conventional monetary order-book figure. However, the company states that 200+ CT/MRI centres are on order-book completion, while its current Q1 FY27 network includes 191 CT/MRI centres.

Technology and AI-Led Expansion

Technology is another part of Krsnaa’s growth strategy. The company is working on AI-powered radiology, digital pathology, teleradiology and integrated IT systems including PACS and LIMS. These technologies are intended to improve diagnostic throughput, reporting and operational efficiency across its network.

Future Growth Steps

Krsnaa Diagnostics is building its next phase of growth around scale, retail expansion, technology and patient accessibility. The company plans to use its existing PPP infrastructure to support retail growth, expand through franchise and collection-centre models, increase home collection coverage and use digital platforms for booking and report delivery.

The company also plans to strengthen preventive healthcare offerings, build partnerships with health-tech and insurance platforms, and leverage its existing network of more than 30,000 doctors to support the retail business.

Krsnaa Diagnostics’ Q1 FY27 presentation highlights a business transitioning from a predominantly PPP-led diagnostic platform towards a larger retail-led healthcare network. Revenue grew 22% in Q1 FY27, while retail revenue increased 64%. Expansion of diagnostic centres, retail locations, home collection, digital platforms and AI-enabled diagnostics are the key initiatives outlined for the company’s next phase of growth.
