Bajaj Auto August 2026 Sales: Key Highlights
Bajaj Auto sold 5,35,764 vehicles in August 2026, compared with 4,17,616 units in August 2025, representing a 28% year-on-year increase.
Exports were the biggest growth driver during the month. Total exports increased 51% to 2,80,056 units, compared with 1,85,218 units a year earlier.
Domestic sales also remained positive, increasing 10% to 2,55,708 units.
The overall numbers include two-wheelers and commercial vehicles.
Two-Wheeler Sales Show Strong Growth
Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler business recorded particularly strong export growth.
Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 10% to 2,01,898 units in August 2026 from 1,84,109 units in August 2025.
Exports climbed 53% to 2,41,850 units, compared with 1,57,778 units in the corresponding month last year.
As a result, total two-wheeler sales reached 4,43,748 units, up 30% year-on-year from 3,41,887 units.
The numbers indicate that international markets continued to play an important role in Bajaj Auto’s overall two-wheeler volume growth.
Commercial Vehicle Sales Increase 22%
Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle segment also delivered growth during August.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 11% to 53,810 units, compared with 48,289 units in August 2025.
Exports increased 39% to 38,206 units, against 27,440 units a year earlier.
Total commercial vehicle sales stood at 92,016 units, representing a 22% year-on-year increase from 75,729 units.
Both domestic and international markets therefore contributed to the segment’s growth.
Exports Remain the Major Growth Engine
One of the most notable features of Bajaj Auto’s August sales performance was the sharp increase in exports.
Across two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, exports reached 2,80,056 units, up 51% from 1,85,218 units in August 2025.
Domestic sales stood at 2,55,708 units, up 10%.
This means exports accounted for more than half of Bajaj Auto’s total vehicle sales during the month.
The strong export performance could remain an important factor for investors because international volumes have become a significant component of the company’s overall sales mix.

The company’s cumulative performance during the first five months of FY2026-27 was also strong.
Between April and August 2026, Bajaj Auto sold 24,48,692 vehicles, compared with 18,94,853 units during the corresponding period of the previous year. This represents 29% year-on-year growth.

This represents 28% year-on-year growth.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales increased 15% to 2,27,786 units, while exports jumped 50% to 1,65,887 units.
Domestic vs Export Performance
The cumulative figures reinforce the importance of exports to Bajaj Auto’s growth.

- Export sales: 12,66,714 units, up 50%
- Total sales: 24,48,692 units, up 29%
Export volumes were therefore higher than domestic volumes during the first five months of the financial year.

Bajaj Auto Sales Outlook
Bajaj Auto’s August 2026 sales data point to a strong start to FY2026-27, with both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles recording year-on-year growth.
The most significant trend is the continued strength of exports. With export volumes growing substantially faster than domestic sales, international markets are currently playing a critical role in the company’s overall volume performance.
For investors, the next areas to watch will be whether this export momentum continues, how domestic two-wheeler demand develops, and whether commercial vehicle volumes maintain their current growth trajectory.
