Delhivery and Bajaj Auto Supercharge Last-Mile Logistics with EV Partnership, Boosting Rider Earnings and Safety

India’s logistics sector just received a powerful jolt of innovation! Delhivery, the nation’s largest logistics provider, has partnered with Bajaj Auto to electrify last-mile deliveries and uplift rider well-being.

This landmark collaboration integrates Bajaj Auto’s advanced RIKI eCarts into Delhivery’s network. Phase one deploys 200 Bajaj RIKI eCarts, extending green logistics into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Phase Two, slated for 2026-2027, will expand the fleet to approximately 1500 Bajaj electric three-wheelers (L3 & L5), accelerating sustainable logistics.

Driving Impact: Financial, Social, and Environmental

  • Enhanced Rider Earnings: The Bajaj Riki C4005 eCart’s efficient electric powertrain and low maintenance cut operating costs. Combined with Delhivery’s route optimization, partners complete more drop-offs, boosting daily take-home earnings.
  • Improved Rider Welfare & Safety: These 3W EVs feature ergonomic seating for weather protection and reduced fatigue. This enables safer transport of larger, denser payloads with less strain.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Replacing combustion engines, this initiative eliminates tailpipe emissions. It aligns with Delhivery’s commitment to fleet electrification, actively reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions and advancing ESG targets.

Delhivery’s COO, Prashant Gazipur, highlighted the partnership’s dual benefit for rider economics and environmental goals. Bajaj Auto President, Samardeep Subandh, lauded the Riki C4005’s 100+ km range and robust performance as game-changers for urban and emerging market logistics.

This strategic alliance promises to redefine last-mile logistics, fostering a financially rewarding, safer, and environmentally conscious future for India’s delivery ecosystem.
