BEML Secures ₹246.78 Crore Order for 48 Rear Dump Trucks from Central Coalfields

BEML Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has secured a major order worth ₹246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), marking a significant achievement for the company in the mining sector.

Key Highlights:

  • Order Details: BEML will supply 48 BH60M Rear Dump Trucks to CCL, along with spares, consumables, and after-sales service for a period of five years (1+4 years). This long-term support package ensures a continuous revenue stream for BEML while strengthening its partnership with CCL.

  • Truck Specifications: The BH60M Rear Dump Truck, designed for demanding mining operations, boasts a powerful Cummins engine, an advanced Allison transmission, and a substantial payload capacity of 54,500 kg. These trucks are primarily manufactured at BEML’s Mysuru facility.

  • Safety & Efficiency Features: The BH60M is equipped with advanced safety and operational features, such as:

    • A 360-degree rear camera for improved visibility.
    • An Automatic Fire Suppression System for emergency preparedness.
    • An Auto Lube System for easy maintenance.
    • A comfortable air-conditioned cabin for the operator.
    • Driver Fatigue Monitor and Productivity & Health Monitoring Systems to ensure operational efficiency and vehicle health.
  • Compliance & Delivery: The BH60M trucks comply with the latest safety standards, including the DGMS circulars from October 2018 and February 2020. Deliveries will begin once the final inspection is completed, ensuring timely deployment in mining operations.
