Indo-Tech Transformers Bags ₹55 Crore Order From Waaree Renewable Technologies

Indo-Tech Transformers Limited (NSE: INDOTECH) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth ₹55 crore plus applicable taxes from Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited for the manufacture and supply of five power transformers.

The LoA was dated August 28, 2026, and the company disclosed the order as a material event under SEBI’s listing regulations.

Order Covers Five Power Transformers

The ₹55 crore contract involves the supply of five transformers comprising:

  • 3 transformers of 170 MVA/175 MVA capacity
  • 2 transformers of 125 MVA capacity

The scope covers the manufacture and supply of all five power transformers.

The order is from a domestic entity and represents a sizeable addition to Indo-Tech Transformers’ business pipeline.

Deliveries Scheduled Between January and April 2027

Indo-Tech Transformers is required to execute the order between January 2027 and April 2027.

The relatively defined delivery window provides visibility for the company over the coming financial year, although the timing of revenue recognition will depend on manufacturing progress, dispatches and contractual milestones.

Strengthens Power Infrastructure Exposure

The order is significant because it strengthens Indo-Tech Transformers’ presence in the high-capacity power transformer market.

Demand for power transformers is being supported by investments in electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, renewable-energy projects and the expansion of India’s power-generation capacity.

The contract with Waaree Renewable Technologies also provides exposure to the broader renewable-energy infrastructure ecosystem.

No Promoter Interest or Related-Party Transaction

Indo-Tech Transformers confirmed that its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in Waaree Renewable Technologies.

The company also stated that the order does not fall under related-party transactions.

Points to consider

The ₹55 crore order is a meaningful business development for Indo-Tech Transformers, particularly because it involves five large-capacity transformers and is scheduled for execution within a defined period.

For investors, the key points to monitor will be order execution, revenue recognition, margins and further order inflows in the power-transformer segment.

The order also highlights the potential benefit to transformer manufacturers from India’s ongoing investment in power transmission, renewable energy and grid infrastructure.

Indo-Tech Transformers’ ₹55 crore order from Waaree Renewable Technologies adds to its near-term business visibility and strengthens its exposure to high-capacity power equipment.

With deliveries scheduled between January and April 2027, successful execution of the contract will be the key factor to watch in determining its financial impact.
