Websol Energy Expands Capacity with 600 MW Cell Line at Falta Plant

Websol Energy System Limited, based in Kolkata, India, operates its manufacturing plant in the Falta Special Economic Zone, West Bengal. The company is publicly listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) under the code WEBELSOLAR and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) under the code 517498.

The company is undertaking a significant capacity expansion project at its Falta plant, adding a 600 MW cell line. This initiative was announced during a board meeting on October 29, 2024. To ensure timely execution, Websol Energy has already placed orders for the required equipment and made advance payments. The new cell line is scheduled to be installed and commissioned in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26 (Q1FY26), with commercial production set to begin in July 2026.
