Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited (POCL) has established a state-of-the-art lead smelter plant in Thervoykandigai, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. This advanced facility, the first of its kind in India, is fully automated and sets a benchmark in the industry.

Key Highlights of the Plant:

• Capacity:
  The plant has a total capacity of 72,000 MT per annum, with the first phase, producing 36,000 MT per annum, scheduled for trial production in the first week of March 2025.

• Automation:
  Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the facility is fully automated for optimized operations.

• Location:
  Strategically situated in Thervoykandigai, Tamil Nadu.

• Status Update:
  As of January 24, 2025, the plant’s erection and commissioning were nearing completion. Trial production for Phase 1 is expected to commence by early March 2025.
