GRSE Secures ₹490 Crore Contract for Two Coastal Research Vessels from GSI​

​Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Geological Survey of India (GSI) for the construction and delivery of two Coastal Research Vessels. The contract, awarded on April 8, 2025, is valued at ₹489.98 crore and is to be executed within 36 months from the signing of the contract. This project underscores GRSE’s expanding role in building specialized vessels for scientific and environmental applications.​
