RailTel Secures ₹970 Crore Order from Bihar Education Project Council for School Science Labs

New Delhi, September 26, 2025 — RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), has secured a major contract worth nearly ₹970 crore from the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) for the establishment of school science laboratories.

The company announced that it received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the State Project Director, BEPC, with the formal Work Order issued on September 25, 2025, at 21:58 hours.

📌 Project Scope & Value

  • Order Size: ₹9,70,07,79,510/-

  • Scope of Work: Turnkey establishment of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Labs in Government Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools across Bihar.

  • Program: Samagra Shiksha 2025–26.

  • Completion Deadline: September 24, 2026.

📌 Corporate Compliance

RailTel confirmed that the awarding authority is a domestic entity and clarified that this contract is not a related party transaction. The disclosure has been submitted to NSE and BSE under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

This project is expected to significantly strengthen RailTel’s presence in the education infrastructure sector, while also boosting digital and scientific learning facilities in Bihar schools.
